In the cold season, the village with a population of 1,600 in Paznaun transforms into an Alpine-lifestyle-Mecca for winter sports fans every year. It targets all those who like to spend their skiing holidays amidst the Tirolean Alps. Be it for a day, a week, a weekend of skiing in Ischgl or for a longer period. Skiing in Tirol can be so exceptional!
Where is the Ischgl ski area? It sits enthroned at up to 2,872 metres above sea level above the the eponymous town of Ischgl in Paznaun. Together with the Swiss village of Samnaun in Graubünden it forms the Silvretta Arena. This is the third largest ski area in the state of Tirol in Austria. Optimally prepared slopes, exceptional freeride-routes and ski tours prove every year again why Ischgl is so popular with winter sports fans. Add to this top-events which attract international stars year after year and make fans' eyes sparkle. Also one of the highlights: the gastronomy. It's not for nothing that Ischgl is lovingly called the Mecca of gourmets in Tirol.
